Laurie is an actor and award-winning screenplay writer.  Her character driven dramas tackle large societal topics while allowing the audience to empathize with multi-dimensional characters. Her focus is creating rich female characters with dynamic character arcs. Her passion and understanding of history gives her the opportunity to put her characters into intense historical situations. When Laurie is not writing or acting, she enjoys giving feedback to other writers, developing new writing ideas, and recently was AD on a film version of the classic, Macbeth.
